Northland, New Zealand's Brynderwyns road reopened after a $230m economic impact due to a 4-month closure from Cyclone Gabrielle. The 900 workers, including many Northlanders, completed critical recovery and maintenance works on State Highway 1. Transport Minister Simeon Brown urges locals and businesses to benefit from the reduced travel time and cost, and encourages New Zealanders to visit and explore Northland.
