Salt Lake City's largest renewable energy initiative, the Elektron Solar Project in Tooele County, has opened after overcoming geopolitical challenges. The 80-megawatt solar farm will power nearly 20,000 homes annually and contribute to the renewable energy goals of Deer Valley and Park City Mountain resorts, which will be powered by 80% and 100% of the farm's energy, respectively.
