1MDB scandal: US Justice Department reaches agreement to recover $100m in artworks and assets linked to Jho Low.
The US Justice Department reached a deal to recover over $100m, including artworks by Claude Monet and Andy Warhol, linked to the 1MDB scandal. The agreement involves Jho Low, his family, and trust entities. Low agreed to cooperate in the transfer of assets linked to 1MDB funds in Hong Kong, Switzerland, and Singapore. The recovered assets are in addition to nearly $1bn previously forfeited, including a superyacht.
