2021 Lytton wildfire devastation leads to slow rebuilding progress in British Columbia village.

Three years after a devastating wildfire destroyed Lytton, British Columbia, the village's slow rebuild is underway. Fewer than a dozen residential and commercial building permits have been issued, with more in the pipeline. However, the village's mayor, Denise O'Connor, says the progress is too slow. The wildfire in June 2021 killed two people, displaced hundreds, and destroyed over 100 properties.
