K-pop group SEVENTEEN has officially been appointed as UNESCO's first-ever Goodwill Ambassador for Youth. This historic recognition was conferred in the presence of UNESCO's Director-General Audrey Azoulay, emphasizing the group's role in fostering global youth engagement and cultural exchange. As part of their ambassadorship, SEVENTEEN will participate in UNESCO's awareness campaigns and events and support youth-led initiatives worldwide by launching a $1 million Global Youth Grant Scheme.
