A wildfire named Running Wolf Fire has started in the Little Belt Mountains southwest of Stanford, Montana, on June 24th, currently at around 82 acres. The fire is burning in mixed conifer forests and efforts are underway using direct suppression methods, including line construction around the fire and helicopter water drops. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
