Former J&K High Court Bar Association president Mian Abdul Qayoom arrested for alleged involvement in 2020 advocate Babar Qadri's murder.
Former Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association president Mian Abdul Qayoom was arrested on Tuesday for his alleged involvement in the 2020 murder of advocate Babar Qadri. Qayoom had been summoned by the State Investigation Agency today and was arrested later in the day. Advocate Qadri, a lawyer and TV panellist, was fatally shot at his home in Srinagar by unknown assailants posing as clients in September 2020. Police had previously registered a case for murder, and the case is now being investigated by the Special Investigating Agency of Jammu and Kashmir police.
