Ireland proposes a national electronic patient health record system at an International Digital Health conference. The free, open-source platform, piloted by the HSE, offers 24-hour access to health information for 15,000 patients. With Ireland having the lowest digital and health maturity among OECD countries, this initiative aligns with a recent EU Parliament-approved initiative for standardizing electronic health records across the EU.
