Investment firm KKR acquired a $2.1 billion portfolio of 18 multifamily real estate assets from Quarterra Multifamily, including 5,200 units across the US. KKR believes this is an opportune moment to invest in real estate as transaction activity picks up after two years of commercial real estate market dislocation. The firm will partner with prominent multifamily real estate operators Carter-Horn.
