Interactive Brokers suffered a $48 million loss due to a New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) trading disruption on June 3. The glitch caused shares of companies such as Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway to appear to plunge, prompting clients to submit buy orders which were filled at higher prices. Interactive Brokers is considering options to recover the loss, including legal action against the NYSE.
