HBO orders "Lanterns," a new Green Lantern TV series, set to follow new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan as they investigate a murder in the American heartland. Showrunner Chris Mundy, executive producers Damon Lindelof and Tom King will co-write the series. The 8-episode order marks a shift from streaming exclusively on Max to airing on HBO, with all episodes also available on Max.
