Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky's investment group plans to buy Royal Mail's parent company, International Distribution Services (IDS). The group will publish its formal offer on 28 September and send it by post to over 100,000 former and current Royal Mail staff, who collectively own 5.5% of the shares. Kretinsky already owns 27.5% of IDS, and requires approval from shareholders of three-quarters of the parent company to complete the takeover.
