Colombian biologists have created a tropical rainforest dome to protect the critically endangered harpy eagle, one of the world's largest raptors. The species, vulnerable due to deforestation and hunting, was introduced to the recreated environment with hopes it will mate and produce an eagle. The couple's successful breeding in captivity in Panama and Brazil provides hope for the species' survival.
