43-year-old Waheed Foster, who assaulted a woman in a Queens subway station in Sept 2022, losing her an eye, was sentenced to 22 years in prison for the attack. Foster, who was homeless at the time, pleaded guilty and will face five years of post-release supervision. Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said the sentence aims to maintain safety for the millions of daily subway users in New York.
