66-year-old Mary Kohn drowned during a rafting trip on Rogue River; life vests present but not worn.

66-year-old Mary Kohn drowned on June 22 in Two-Mile Rapids of Rogue River during a rafting trip with three others and a dog. The Curry County Sheriff's Office received a "Text to 911" report. Though life vests were onboard, none were worn. Two other women and a dog were rescued, but Kohn was pronounced dead at the scene. Her black and white Australian Shepherd-type dog, Teddy, remains missing.
