33-year-old Dublin West TD Jack Chambers has been appointed as Ireland's new Finance Minister, replacing Michael McGrath who will be taking up a role in the EU Commission. Chambers, a first-time minister, previously served as government chief whip and Minister of State for Sport and the Gaeltacht. This appointment makes him one of the youngest finance ministers in Irish history.
