93-year-old Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh, a legendary GAA commentator known as the 'Voice of the GAA', passed away. Born in Dún Síon, Kerry, in 1930, Ó Muircheartaigh started his broadcasting career in 1949 and became RTÉ Radio 1's premier radio commentator in 1985. He covered his final All-Ireland final in 2010 and is survived by his wife Helena, three sons, five daughters, grandchildren, and extended family.
