Tennessee faces legal challenges over its new law, set to take effect on July 1, that criminalizes adults from assisting minors in obtaining abortions without parental consent. The lawsuit, filed by Democratic Rep. Aftyn Behn and Nashville attorney Rachel Welty, claims the statute is unconstitutional and "unconstitutionally vague." The law does not include exemptions for minors who may have been raped by their parents or guardians.
