Japanese scientists at the University of Tokyo have developed a method to attach engineered skin tissue to humanoid robots, bringing self-healing, lifelike robots inspired by Terminator films one step closer to reality. Researchers led by Professor Shoji Takeuchi used special V-shaped perforations and mimicked human skin ligament structures to enhance adhesion and improve functionalities, paving the way for future advancements in biohybrid robotics.
