House Ethics Committee reviews Texas Reps. Jackson and Hunt for alleged campaign funds misuse at private clubs.

The House Ethics Committee is reviewing accusations against two Republican congressmen from Texas, Ronny Jackson and Wesley Hunt, for allegedly violating ethics rules by using campaign funds to pay membership dues at private social clubs. The Office of Congressional Ethics found "substantial reason" to believe these lawmakers used campaign funds for personal use. The Ethics Committee will further investigate the payments, but this does not mean there are proven violations of ethics rules.
