Congress leader Rahul Gandhi appointed as Leader of Opposition in India's Lok Sabha after a decade.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been appointed as the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in India's lower house of parliament, the Lok Sabha, for the first time in a decade. The decision was announced by Congress general secretary KC Venugopal after a meeting of floor leaders of the INDIA bloc parties. The Congress party, being the single largest opposition party, will have the post of opposition leader after a gap of 10 years.
