Chinese lawmakers are reviewing a draft revision of China's Frontier Health and Quarantine Law to improve measures preventing cross-border transmission of infectious diseases. The draft also includes institutional arrangements to facilitate health quarantine measures at ports across the country. The existing law, first promulgated in 1987, has undergone three revisions in 2007, 2009, and 2018.
