Priced at ¥5.28 million ($33,100), BYD's expansion in Japan could pose a challenge for domestic automakers struggling against Chinese EV brands in their home market. The company plans to add at least one new model to its lineup in Japan each year and expand its store locations from 55 to 100 by 2025.
