UK firm Waterside Class Ltd filed a £382m claim against Norwegian salmon producers Mowi, SalMar, Lerøy, Scottish Sea Farms, and Grieg, alleging they colluded to artificially inflate global prices of farmed Atlantic salmon between Oct 2015-May 2019, impacting UK consumers. The European Commission previously expressed preliminary views that the companies fixed prices within Europe from 2011-2019, breaching competition laws.
