Sonoco acquires Eviosys, a European metal packaging producer, from KPS Capital Partners for $3.9bn, creating a global metal food can and aerosol packaging leader.

Sonoco, a US packaging firm, acquires Eviosys, a European metal packaging producer, from KPS Capital Partners for $3.9bn. The deal combines the two companies, creating the leading metal food can and aerosol packaging manufacturer worldwide. Sonoco expects the acquisition to generate around $100m in synergies, with the deal subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions.
