Siemens Energy and GE Vernova to build 2 gas-fired power stations in Saudi Arabia, supporting electricity supply increase.

Siemens Energy and GE Vernova will each build two gas-fired power stations in Saudi Arabia, supporting the country's plan to increase electricity supply. The Taiba 1 and 2, and Qassim 1 and 2 facilities, designed to generate 1.9-2 GW each, will be constructed in western and central regions of Saudi Arabia. Siemens Energy has secured a $1.5bn deal to supply key components for the Taiba 2 and Qassim 2 plants and maintain the sites for 25 years.
