Scotland's state pensioners to receive two new devolved benefits: Pension Age Winter Heating Payment (PAWHP) and Pension Age Disability Payment, replacing Attendance Allowance.

Scotland's over one million state pensioners will receive two new devolved benefits, the Pension Age Winter Heating Payment (PAWHP) worth up to £300 per person and the Pension Age Disability Payment, which will replace Attendance Allowance. The changes are set to be implemented this year, with the PAWHP replacing the annual Winter Fuel Payment currently administered by the DWP. The new benefits will be managed by Social Security Scotland and remain non-means tested.
