Older adults in senior housing have better health and less hospitalization than those living at home.

A new study shows that older adults living in senior housing have better health than those who live at home. Seniors in senior housing are less vulnerable to illness and accidents, receive more home health care, and live slightly longer than those who stay in their communities. They are also less likely to need hospitalization for injuries, hip fractures, wounds, COPD, dehydration, or urinary tract infections.
