NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi implements safer speed limits on selected sections of SH11 and SH1.
Safer speed limits are now in effect on short sections of SH11 between Kawakawa and Paihia and SH1 between Kawakawa and Whangārei, as part of a phased approach by NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi. The changes focus on targeted sections of state highways through townships and schools, following extensive community engagement and input. Reduced speeds apply to specific areas on both highways.
