The Northern Districts Tigers lead the AFL South Coast competition halfway through the season, with a perfect 6-0 record. However, reigning champs Figtree Kangaroos and the Wollongong Bulldogs are close behind, as all three teams gear up for the business end of the season. Northern Districts coach Glenn Haase remains cautious, noting that they have yet to face Figtree and the Bulldogs.
