The New Zealand government is providing financial assistance to drought-affected farmers and growers in 38 districts until Nov 2024, aiming to help them with living costs. Rural Assistance Payments are available for eligible farmers and growers in Northland, Taranaki, Horizons, Greater Wellington, Top of the South, Canterbury, and Otago. Rural Support Trusts are encouraged for struggling farmers and growers to discuss available support.
