CPI-M tribal leader OR Kelu was sworn in as Kerala's new SC/ST Minister by Governor Arif Mohammed Khan on June 23, marking a historic moment as he is the first tribal leader from the CPI-M and the first from Wayanad district to join Kerala's state council of ministers. Kelu, a two-time legislator representing Mananthavady constituency, replaced K Radhakrishnan, who resigned after being elected to the Lok Sabha.
