Dutch Q1 GDP contracted by 0.5% due to weaker goods exports, surpassing initial estimates.
Dutch GDP contracted by 0.5% in Q1, more than initially estimated, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics. The decline was primarily due to weaker goods exports. On a yearly basis, the economy shrank 0.6% compared to a 0.5% fall in Q4. The revisions are partly due to updated export figures and revised calculation methods. Household consumption grew 0.6% over the quarter, while government consumption remained unchanged.
