Consumer court orders Indian Railways to pay over Rs 1.08 lakh to passenger whose luggage was stolen during train journey. The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission found Indian Railways negligent in its duty to provide a safe and secure journey, including protection of passengers' belongings. The passenger's bag containing valuables worth Rs 80,000 was stolen in January 2016 while traveling in a reserved coach on the Malwa Express between Jhansi and Gwalior.
