The Cleveland Cavaliers have hired Golden State Warriors assistant coach Kenny Atkinson as their new head coach, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Atkinson, who has prior experience as Brooklyn Nets head coach, was the top choice for the Cavaliers after conducting an extensive search following the firing of J.B. Bickerstaff. The Cavs decided on Atkinson over New Orleans associate head coach James Borrego.
