China's state-owned enterprises (SOEs) reported revenue growth of 3.1% in the first five months of 2021, reaching 32.85 trillion yuan ($4.61 trillion). Operating profits increased by 2.3% year-on-year to 1.71 trillion yuan during the same period, with a debt-to-asset ratio of 64.9%. The data, which excludes financial firms, was collected from SOEs in provincial-level regions and those administered by the central government.
