25% of Brant County residents infrequently test their well water, according to BCHU.
Brant County Health Unit (BCHU) reports that less than 25% of Brant County residents regularly test their well water. The data is based on subtracting homes with municipal water bills from the total properties in the county. The Ontario Drinking Water Standards recommend testing well water three times a year, with additional tests needed when wells are unused, repaired, or during flooding. Free water testing kits are available at BCHU customer service offices, public libraries, and can be dropped off monthly at Burford customer service.
