60-year-old woman shot in head and back during attempted murder in Ballygowan, Co Down; suspect flees in white van.
Police have launched an attempted murder investigation after shotgun pellets were fired into a house in Ballygowan, Co Down, on Saturday night. The woman, aged in her 60s, was hit on her head and back and was taken to hospital for treatment, where she remains. A man who was in the house at the time was uninjured. The suspect is believed to have made off in a white Transit-style van.
