67-year-old Sir David Hempleman-Adams' team plans a transatlantic hydrogen balloon crossing from Maine to the Atlantic, conducting live TV interviews and experiments.
67-year-old Sir David Hempleman-Adams and his team, including 62-year-old Bert Padelt and 72-year-old Dr Frederik Paulsen, plan to attempt a transatlantic balloon crossing in the Torabhaig Atlantic Explorer Balloon. The journey, set to take off from Maine, US, and land in the Atlantic, aims to conduct live TV interviews and experiments, including studying forest fire particle impact on atmospheric conditions. If successful, it may mark the first Atlantic crossing in a hydrogen balloon and the longest distance covered in this type of balloon.
