Yankees' slugger Stanton placed on 10-day injured list due to left hamstring strain.
New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton has been placed on the 10-day injured list due to a left hamstring strain. Stanton left Saturday's game against the Atlanta Braves after experiencing tightness in his hamstring while running the bases. The Yankees called up infielder Oswald Peraza from Class-AAA to fill Stanton's spot on the roster. This marks the 8th time Stanton has been on the injured list in six seasons.
