13th Congo virus case confirmed in Quetta, Pakistan, with a 32-year-old patient from Qila Saifullah admitted to Fatima Jinnah Hospital's isolation ward. Caused by the tick-borne Nairovirus, the virus is transmitted through tick bites or contact with infected blood or tissues during and after slaughter. One fatality has been reported in Pakistan this year due to the virus, and no other cases have been identified among the patient's contacts.
