Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed the establishment of the Punjab Enforcement Authority (PEA) to combat hoarding, profiteering, and adulteration. The authority aims to ensure edibles are sold at fixed government rates, monitor demand and supply, and enforce fines for adulteration. The PEA will also oversee adopting hygiene principles for edible quality during their preparation process.
