The NSW government is investing $94.7m to enhance flood preparedness and emergency services, with a focus on bolstering State Emergency Service (SES) responses in high-risk areas. The funding will improve disaster planning, fleet maintenance, training, recruitment, and public information. An initial $18m will be spent on SES preparedness and response capability. The government also plans to spend over $500m on a higher Richmond Bridge over the Hawkesbury River.
