Michigan State Police trooper injured in crash near Grand Rapids while attending another scene.

Early Sunday morning, a Michigan State Police trooper and another driver were injured in a crash near Grand Rapids on US-131. The incident occurred as the trooper was attending another crash scene, when a minivan lost control, skidded on wet pavement and collided with the patrol car. The minivan driver was hospitalized with a head injury and the trooper sustained minor injuries.
