India's Ministry of Education has established a high-level committee, chaired by former ISRO chief Dr. K Radhakishnan, to reform the National Testing Agency (NTA) and ensure the transparent, smooth, and fair conduct of competitive exams, following controversies surrounding the UGC-NET and NEET-UG tests. The committee will focus on reforming the examination process, improving data security protocols, and enhancing the structure and functioning of the NTA. The other members of the committee include Dr. Randeep Guleria, Prof. B J Rao, Prof. Ramamurthy K, Pankaj Bansal, Prof. Aditya Mittal, and Govind Jaiswal. The committee will submit its recommendations within two months. The move comes after the cancellation of the UGC-NET exam and the postponement of the Joint CSIR-UGC-NET and NEET-PG entrance exams.
