India and South Korea discuss upgrading their CEPA free trade agreement.

India and South Korea are in talks to upgrade their existing free trade agreement (FTA), known as the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). The Department of Commerce is engaging with various ministries, including heavy industries, steel, and chemicals, to prepare an offer list as part of the negotiations. So far, 10 rounds of talks have been conducted since the CEPA's operationalisation in January 2010.
