Cariboo Regional District negotiations with BC General Employees' Union stalled, resulting in over 100 staff continuing strike action.

Cariboo Regional District (CRD) negotiations with BC General Employees' Union (BCGEU) have stalled again, leaving more than 100 staff on strike. A verbal agreement on wage increases to 12.5% over three years was reached, but BCGEU rejected specific terms, indicating strike action would continue. CRD's Chief Administrative Officer, Murray Daly, expressed disappointment, noting that the union's demands moved in the opposite direction of the proposed wage increase.
