Australia's government will provide $26.5m to over 18,000 authors, illustrators, and publishers, compensating for lost sales due to their works being available at public and educational lending libraries. The payment is part of the federal government's Educational Lending Right and Public Lending Right schemes. This year, for the first time, creators of audio and eBooks will receive payment.
