2024-2025 Asia-Pacific economy to grow 3.9%, with Philippines lagging pre-pandemic output by 6%.

Moody's Analytics forecasts the Asia-Pacific (APAC) economy to grow at 3.9% in 2024 and 2025, yet it remains below potential. The Philippines, despite being the second-fastest growing economy in APAC at 5.9%, is seen as one of the worst underachievers in ASEAN, with output lagging more than 6% behind pre-pandemic levels. The country's GDP growth is below its government's 6-7% target.
