Algerian women, Ibtissem Mahtout and Amira Messous, are pioneering eco-friendly farming near Algiers, challenging the male-dominated agricultural sector. After graduating from university, they left the capital to work on a small patch of land in Douaouda, where they now run one of the country's rare ecological plots of land. The produce is grown in harmony with the ecosystem without the use of pesticides.
